Bags (and fashion) for a cause
After braving the crowds at not one, but 2 H&M outposts this morning for the release of the Stella McCartney line, I wasn't feeling in much shape for posting (it was brutal, but worth it). Then I remembered that today was the start of another fashion auction for a good cause, the online component of 7th on Sale. Run through eBay, this is a chance for people outside of the New York area to take part in a global sample sale, and help raise money to aid those suffering from AIDS/HIV through the CFDA/Vogue Initiative.
Among the handbag selections, are this green Kooba Claudia hobo.
A great bag for fall. The shape is soft and slouchy, and the color will look great with almost anything. There are 2 or 3 of these up for auction, and the bids are coming in fast.
Another bag which caught my eye is this Penelope evening bag by Juicy (yes, I said Juicy)
I don't recall ever seeing this in the stores or on the web, and I love the delicate retro look. It's an evening purse you will have and be able to use for years. As of this second, this bag is truly a steal with a high bid of $29.50
Granted the pickings are slim, but there are also a few satin Madison styles from Coach, a cute satchel from Michael/Michael Kors, and a few others...not to mention other accessories, clothing, shoes, and for the truly extravagant bidder, Fashion Adventures, for a total fashion experience. And don't forget, it's for a worthwhile cause.
Good luck, and happy bidding.
